Weekly Update, June 21st, 2024

Hi church,

If you are participating in the day of prayer and fasting, I hope that God greatly blesses your experience with him. This Sunday we finish our study on Daniel. It's been a great time so far. Also, after the service is dismissed and we give everyone a chance to leave, I will discuss more about Capitol Ministries that I mentioned last week. With their guidance, they want me to start a Bible study at the Maryland State House next year. I want the church to know about this ministry and to receive your enthusiastic support before I move ahead. Here is a link to their website: https://capmin.org/.

Weems Creek Shirt Sales

This Sunday is the last day to order! We are offering newly branded shirts, polos, and sweatshirts for purchase! Our hope is for these shirts to be used at ministry and outreach events and to represent our church in the community. Shirts must be purchased through this link: https://stores.inksoft.com/_WCC/shop/home and must be purchased by next Sunday, 6/23. After the ordering window has closed all shirts will be delivered to Weems Creek Church for pick up.

No Kids Worship this Sunday

Normally we do not have Kids Worship on the 5th Sunday of the month. This allows families to worship together. Our VBS Celebration Sunday is on the 5th Sunday so we are skipping Kids Worship this week to allow those who will be visiting to attend Kids Worship next week.

VBS Supplies Need

We are in need of 16 beach towels to borrow during VBS week beginning this Sunday! If you are able to bring a few towels on Sunday morning, please email Melissa Gardner (melissa@weemscreek.com) with how many towels you are able to supply. Be sure to label your towels and we will return them to you after VBS week. Thank you for making Breaker Rock Beach feel extra special this year!

VBS Celebration Sunday

On June 30, we will celebrate all the Lord has done through VBS. The kids will sing a song during the service. Then from 12-1pm, we will have a waterslide, water toys, and free Kona Ice!

Men’s Cookout

The Men’s Ministry will be hosting a cookout at the church on July 21 at 5pm. Come hang out, play some games, and eat some great food! All food will be provided.
