Weekly Update - September 22nd, 2023

Hi church,

We enjoyed a great kickoff to our Wednesday nights this past week - AWANA, students, and 3 adult Bible studies. It is a wonderful opportunity to fellowship and learn God's word. We would love for you to join us if you have not done so already. This upcoming Sunday, some of the Greece mission team will give a recap of the trip! Also, we will begin the new sermon series on the Sermon on the Mount. This passage may well be the clearest summation of what it means to follow Christ. If learned and obeyed, we will truly grow in the Lord!

Harvest Fest

Harvest Fest is coming Saturday, October 14th from 12-2:30pm. Mark your calendars! We will have a petting zoo, lots of carnival games, a chili cookoff, local fire and police departments, bounce house, crafts, food & drinks, and MORE! It will be a fun, family-friendly event for all ages! This is free to the community so please invite your friends and neighbors!

You can be part of this great outreach by volunteering to:

  • man a carnival game, food station, craft table, or bounce house

  • oversee, judge, and/or enter the chili cook-off

  • donate baked good for the Cake Walk

  • set up and/or tear down

  • allow us to borrow your canopy tent

  • and donate candy (there will be a donation bin in the atrium)

New Members Class

If you are interested in learning more about Weems Creek Church, please join us on Sunday, Oct. 22 at 12:30pm for this informational meeting. It’s a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the church – its beliefs, vision, and ministries – as well as interact with the pastor and other prospective members. Lunch and childcare will be provided. If you plan to attend, please sign up at the Connect Center.

Fellowship Serve Team

Cub Scout Prospective Member Event
