Weekly Update, May 24th, 2024

Hi church,

Hope you enjoy this Memorial Day weekend as we remember and honor military personnel who lost their lives serving our nation. We are indebted beyond words. This Sunday, we will take a break from the series on Daniel to talk about The Power and Purpose of Fasting. The founder of the campus ministry Cru (the world’s largest ministry) was Bill Bright, a big proponent of fasting. He said, “Fasting reduces the power of self so that the Holy Spirit can do a more intense work within us.” Join us Sunday as we learn how to draw closer to God and experience more powerful prayer lives through fasting.

Wellspring Baby Bottles

As Christians, we believe that God has made each person in his image. Every person has equal worth by the fact that we are a reflection of God. Because of that understanding, we believe that each person has the right to life and should be treated with dignity and respect. For many years, our church has been a partner of Wellspring Life Ministry, an organization whose mission is “a faith-based, medical non-profit serving those facing pregnancy-related and sexual health issues by offering physical, emotional, and spiritual support and empowering them to make healthy and life-affirming decisions.”

To support them, we will be participating in their Baby Bottle Campaign through Father’s Day. Here's how it works! Wellspring has provided baby bottles to the church. For those who are interested in participating, pick up your bottle in the atrium, fill it with money and return it to the Connect Center. In a month, Wellspring will collect the bottles. There is also the option of donating using a QR code. This video explains a little more about it - Baby Bottle Campaign.
