Weekly Update - July 14th, 2023

Hi church,

This week we finish the short sermon series on Nahum. It is vital that we learn the whole counsel of Scripture, even seemingly obscure parts like Nahum, to build a sound view of God that anchors us as individuals and churches. Also, we look forward to our Meet & Greet fellowship after church service. We will provide name badges and snacks so please stick around and join us. The ice breaker question ties in with being the middle of summer: "What is your favorite part about summer?" You have 2 days to think of something! Haha.

VBS Snacks & T-shirt Sales

If you signed up to bring a snack ingredient, please bring your item(s) on Sunday. They can be place in the tote near the snack sign-up. We will also be selling t-shirts this Sunday. We accept cash, check or credit card.

New Members Class

Reminder, that the New Members Class is this Sunday after the Meet & Greet. We will meet upstairs in the multipurpose room.

SonShiners Cook-out at the Hallmark’s

The SonShiners (55 ) will be having a cook-out at the Hallmark’s home on Thursday, July 20th at noon. Hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks will be provided. Please sign up at the Connect Center indicating what you can bring and if you would like to carpool. Feel free to bring your swimsuit and take a splash! If you are carpooling, please meet at the church at 4pm.

Operation Christmas Child Drop Box

We will begin collecting items to be packed in shoeboxes at a future date. There is a box in the atrium for donations. All donations should be new. Please consider donating in this way, as well as packing individual boxes this fall. For more information, please see Marge Loomis (410-956-7863).

Prayer for Revival

Join us as we pray for Biblical renewal in churches and our nation on Monday, July 17 at noon in room 112.

VBS Registration

VBS registration is open! Please register your child(ren) today as there are limited spots available. VBS is July 23-27 from 6-8:30 p.m. Classes are open to children who have finished Pre-K 4 through 5th grade. The theme this year is Twists & Turns. Spin the spinner, beat the clock, skip ahead, level up, and play to win! You’ll need to bring your A-game for this VBS. Twists & Turns is a fantastical celebration of games of all kinds. From classic tabletop games to video games and more, kids will play their way through VBS while learning that Jesus guides them through all the twists and turns of their lives. They’ll find that even when they mess up it’s never “game over.”

See you Sunday!
