Weekly Update - March 10th, 2023

Hi church,

This Sunday we are delighted to ordain four new deacons during our church service. Also, I will continue our brief series on prayer. We will explore the Lord’s Prayer which we often neglect to make part of our prayer life.

I want to give a brief update on the Greece mission trip in September. There are 10 spots that are being held for our church by our denomination. We have 6 people signed up to attend. If you are interested in participating, contact the church office. As I mentioned before, there is a need for people with a trade background but that need is lower than before. At this point, we are looking for 2 of the remaining spots to be filled by people with a trade background and the other 2 spots are available to anyone.

New Members Class

You are invited to join us for a New Members class this Sunday from 12:15pm-2:15pm. It is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the church—its beliefs, vision, and ministries—as well as interact with the church leadership and other prospective members. Also, you will be better equipped to connect with and serve our church as we seek to advance God’s kingdom in this community. There is no obligation to membership. Lunch and childcare will be provided. If you plan to attend, please email the church office (office@weemscreek.com) or call 410-266-5527 and leave a message.

Men’s Retreat

Men and high school boys, join us for the annual Men’s Retreat on March 17-18 at Camp Wabanna. This will be a great time of fellowship. It’s also a time of strengthening relationships and establishing new ones as we look at Titus 2:11-14 – Saved and committed to declare and display the Gospel. We will start with dinner on Friday night at 6pm and finish with lunch on Saturday. Cost is $55/person. You can sign up at the Connect Center or at this link: Men's Retreat Registration. You can pay when you register online, through the offering (checks made out to Weems Creek Church and noted for Men’s Retreat), or online at weemscreek.com/give.
