Weekly Update - February 17th, 2023

Hi church,

We are excited to share that our church will have unlimited access to RightNow Media—the world’s largest streaming library of video Bible study resources. It’s been called the “Netflix of video Bible studies.” This extensive library has more than 20,000 videos and can serve as a tool to help you live out your faith in every area of your life—at home, at work, and in your community. On March 5, an email will go out that will provide you with a link to gain access to this resource for yourself at no cost! We’re excited to see and hear how the Lord may use this tool to grow our faith!

New Members Class

You are invited to join us for a New Members class! It is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the church—its beliefs, vision, and ministries—as well as interact with the church leadership and other prospective members. Also, you will be better equipped to connect with and serve our church as we seek to advance God’s kingdom in this community. Lunch and childcare and will be provided. If you plan to attend, please sign-up at the Connect Center.

Prayer for Revival – Feb. 20, noon

Join us as we pray for genuine revival in the church and nation. We meet in room 112.

Student Ministry Parent Meeting

Just as our church continues to grow and seeks to make disciples for Jesus, so too does our student ministry. Parents are invited to join Pastor Alex Streitmater this Sunday at 12:15pm in the multipurpose room for a brief meeting that will go over the future and direction of our Student Ministry going forward here at Weems Creek. We’re excited to see how our student ministry can serve as a place that not only continues to make disciples for generations to come, but also serves as a place of encouragement and discipleship for parents who want to raise children who love the Lord as well!

Living a Healthy Life

Join us on Tuesday nights for a 4-part series about Living a Healthy Life from a Romans 12 perspective, taught by Theresa Fallow, MSN, RN. We will meet from 6:30-7:30 pm on February 21 & 28, March 7 & 14. You will learn important health concepts like how to read food labels, how food impacts cardiometabolic disease (diabetes, high blood pressure, and elevated cholesterol) and your immune system, and we will talk about health strategies to improve health. This class will meet in room 102, next to the church office. Please enter the building near the office.

Knitting – Date Change!

The in-person knitting/crafting meeting will be held on Feb. 21 this month instead of Feb. 14. The group meets in room 102 from 6:30pm-8pm. Everyone is invited – women, men, youth, children! It’s a great time of fellowship as we work on our latest projects.
