Why Meals@Home?
Because food matters. Because meals matter. Meals are full of meaning and significance but are also practical. Recent studies reveal that the single most decisive factor among kids who do well in school and avoid risky behaviors is eating meals with the family. As author Miriam Weinstein explains, “Sitting down to a meal together draws a line around us for a brief time and strengthens family bonds by shutting out the rest of the world as a powerful ritual against the many forces pulling us apart.”
Family meals give us a place to belong, a rhythm for health, and a moment of sanity! Below, you will find resources and opportunities we have made available for you to start being intentional about meal time with your family! You can start by picking up a free Meals@Home kit from the Faith@Home Center or downloading it by clicking on the button below!
